The history of Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small Unani clinic in the year 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, one of the well-known practitioners of Unani System of Medicine of his time. Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed had a vision of making the practice of Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline so that Unani medicines could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients.

Jamia Hamdard desires to engage the services of three (03) Assistant Professor on contractual basis in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, School of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (SPER), Jamia Hamdard as per below mentioned details
No of posts : 03 [Two (02) Assistant Professors on contractual basis in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and One (01) in Pharmaceutical Analysis]
Essential Qualifications : (i) M.Pharm. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Analysis with minimum 55% marks from a recognized institution or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto.
(ii) Ph.D. Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Analysis from a recognized institution/ university.
Desirable Qualifications : a) GPAT qualified.
b) Teaching/research/industrial/professional experience in a reputed organization.
c) Good Research Publications.
