NIAB, an autonomous institute under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute’s research focus is on animal genetics and genomics, transgenesis, stem cell & its applications, reproductive biotechnology, infectious diseases, nanotechnology, bioinformatics and Nutrigenomics.
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.
Post : Project Associate-II (1 Position)
Project Title : Deciphering Chromatin-mediated mechanisms of transcription regulation in Apicomplexan Parasite Theileria annulata .
PI: Dr. Paresh Sharma.
Tenable upto : 01 Year.
Eligibility : Post Graduate Degree in life sciences OR Graduate / Post Graduate degree in professional course. M.V.Sc./M.Tech./MSc./M.Pharm Degree in Biotechnology Biochemistry/Microbiology/Immunology with first division. The candidate should have minimum two-year research experience preferably as JRF (Eligibility criteria as per DST OM No.SR/S9/Z- 05/2019 dated 10.07.2020). Candidates with prior experience in molecular biology, gene cloning, protein purification, gene editing, microscopy, Flowcytometry analysis and cell culture techniques will be preferred.
Fellowship amount : Candidates with NET will be paid Rs. 35,000/-PM+24% HRA PM as per the DST guidelines. However, Non NET candidates can also apply who will be paid as per their eligibility as per the DST guidelines.
Age : 35 years (Relaxation is admissible as per Government instructions)
