The National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology (NIANP) was established on 24th November 1995 at Bangalore under the aegis of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. The Institute is mandated to conduct basic and fundamental research with respect to animal feed resource management using physiological-nutritional approaches to improve animal productivity and profitability of livestock farmers.
Post: Research Associate , Senior Research Fellow
Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate (One number) and Senior Research Fellow (one number) under the time bound ICAR-National Fellow project on "Development of buffalo bull fertility diagnostic chip based on sperm transcripts signatures". This recruitment is subjected to terms and conditions in force in ICAR for such appointments. There is no provision of absorption/re-employment in ICAR-NIANP/ICAR after termination of the project. The service of person, who engaged, will automatically stand terminated with the termination of the project. The appointment is purely on temporary basis and liable to be terminated at any time without assigning any reason thereof

Research Associate - 01 Post
Essential Qualification : Ph.D in the below mentioned Subjects OR Master's degree in the relevant subject with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor's degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, with at least three years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship / Associate-ship / Training / other engagements. One research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI)/NAAS rated (>4.0) Journal.
Preferred subjects : Animal Reproduction, Animal Physiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics.
Desirable Qualification : Research experience in nucleic acids isolation and purifications, qPCR, NGS library preparation and sequencing. The candidate should have sound knowledge in bioinformatics analysis of current genomics (NGS and microarray) and proteomic (LC-MS/MS) platforms data. Candidates with skills on Python and Java languages are preferable. The experience should be supported with published research papers in Internationally reputed Journals
Remuneration : Rs. 49000+HRA per month (Masters Degree holders).
Rs. 54000+HRA per month (PhD Degree holders).
HRA will be provided, if no accommodation is provided at the Institute (as per ICAR guidelines).
Duration of the project : Up to May 2027
Age Limit : Upper age limit 40 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH and women candidates will be extended as per ICAR rules.
Senior Research Fellow - 01 Post
Essential Qualification : Master's degree courses in the relevant subject with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor's degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with two years of experience
OR
Master's degree (3 years Bachelor degree and 2 years Masters degree) in the life sciences with NET/GATE/BET qualification with two years of experience
Preferred subjects : Animal Reproduction, Animal Physiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biotechnology, Molecular biology and Bioinformatics.
Desirable Qualification : Research experience in nucleic acids isolation and purifications, qPCR, NGS library preparation and sequencing. The candidate should have sound knowledge in bioinformatics analysis of current genomics (NGS and microarray) and proteomic (LC-MS/MS) platforms data.
The experience should be supported with published research papers in Internationally reputed Journals
