According to the 19th Livestock Census 2012, the total population of livestock in Himachal Pradesh is 48,44,431. Out of which 21,49,259 are cow cattle, 7,16,016 are buffaloes, 8,04,871 are sheep, 11,19,491 are goats and 15,081 are horses and ponies population. Poultry population of the State is 11,04,476.
Post : Veterinary Pharmacist (Hearing Impaired (Partially Deaf only)
Applications are invited on prescribed format for filling up of 17 vacant posts of Veterinary Pharmacist on contract basis amongst the Person with Disability (Hearing Impaired (Partially Deaf only) from the eligible GPVAs/ applicants in case of batch wise and from eligible persons who possess Veterinary Pharmacist Diploma from recognized University/Institution in case of direct recruitment. The applicant should possess minimum 40% permanent disability certificate issued by the Competent Authority.

Educational and other qualification
Essential
(i) Should have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent examination and Matriculation Examination with Science from any recognized School/ Institution/ Board situated within Himachal Pradesh. Provided this condition shall not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.
(ii) He should have passed the prescribed Veterinary Pharmacist Training Course of two years duration and Diploma to this effect should have been issued by the CSKHPKV, Palampur or should have passed two years duration course with equivalent syllabus as prescribed by CSKHPKV, Palampur for Veterinary Pharmacist training from a University/Institution recognized by State/Central Government and also recognized by Himachal Pradesh Para Veterinary Council.
(iii) Candidates must be registered with Himachal Pradesh Para Veterinary Council, Shimla-5.
Desirable : Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh.
1. Weightage for essential educational qualification as per the R&P Rules (% of marks obtained in educational qualification prescribed for the posts would be divided by 10). : 10 (Ten)

11. Experience upto a maximum of 5 years in Govt./ Semi- Govt. organization relating to the post applied for (0.4 mark only for each completed year in case of Class-111 posts and 0.7 mark only for each completed year in case of Class-IV) : 02 (Two)
