Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab), an autonomous institution of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013 from its transit campus at Mohali, Punjab. In the December of 2020, the institute shifted to its state-of-the-art new campus sprawling over 35 acres of land, at Knowledge City, Sector-81 (Mohali, Punjab). Research activities at INST encompass physics, chemistry, biology, and interdisciplinary sciences addressing problems in the field of energy, environment, quantum materials, nano-devices, and chemical biology.
Post : Junior Research Fellow
Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the research project funded by ‘DST-SERB’ scheme, Government of India at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.
Title of the Research Project : Citric acid induced self-assemble bubble carrier system to enhance the oral bioavailability of poorly aqueous soluble drugs.
Principal Investigator : Dr. Shyam Lal M, Scientist-C
Qualifications : Essential: M.Sc./ M.Tech. (Life Sciences / Biotechnology /Zoology / Biological Science) / M.Pharm. with NET/GATE/GPAT qualification.
Desirable (Experience) : Candidates having hands-on experience in fabrication/formulation development, expertize in animal studies and molecular techniques will be preferred. Age limit: Must not be over 30 years as on15.09.2022, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.
Fellowship : Rs. 31,000/- (pm) + HRA (as applicable)
Project duration : Initially one year and may be extended based on performance of the candidate and availability of funds.
General Terms and Conditions :
• The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance till the project duration. The position is co-terminus with the project. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of INST provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets and other testimonials must be presented along with the self-attested photocopies of these documents at the time of interview.
