National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad is an Institute of National Importance with proclaimed objectives of becoming Centre of Excellence for advanced research in pharmaceutical sciences. NIPER-Mohali was the first institute established in the year 1998 under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the Govt. of India. Later, the DOP established 6 new NIPERs across the country including NIPER-Hyderabad which started functioning from 19th October 2007, from the premises of erstwhile R&D Centre of IDPL, Balanagar, Hyderabad.

Applications are invited for Project Associate position in enzymatic catalysis for organic synthetic transformations, to work under the supervision of Dr. Priyanka Bajaj for a period of up to 12 months. The project involves molecular biology and biochemistry for developing enzymatic catalysts for enabling the small chemical transformations.

Essential Qualifications :
The candidate should have a strong interest in understanding enzymes and biocatalysis and have a Masters degree with 2 years experience; in Biotechnology / Molecular Biology (PCR/Cloning)/Biochemistry / Bio-catalysis / Synthetic Chemistry / Chemical Biology prior to taking up the appointment. Experience in organic synthesis and enzymatic catalysis will be preferred.
Salary : 1. Masters with 2 years experience but without JRF-28000 per month plus HRA (as per DST norms)
