National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Hyderabad is an Institute of National Importance with proclaimed objectives of becoming Centre of Excellence for advanced research in pharmaceutical sciences. NIPER-Mohali was the first institute established in the year 1998 under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the Govt. of India.
Post : Postdoctoral Research Assistant
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in enzymatic Catalysis for organic synthetic transformations, to work under the supervision of Dr. Priyanka Bajaj for a period of up to 12 months. The project involves developing enzymatic catalysts and enabling the small chemical transformations.
Qualifications : The candidate should have a strong interest in understanding chemical aspects of biology and have a PhD (or be close to completion) in synthetic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biocatalysis or Chemical Biology prior to taking up the appointment. Experience in gene cloning, PCR, Protein expression and purification, HPLC, organic synthesis and enzymatic catalysis will be preferred.
