The erstwhile Garhwa Subdivision of Palamau district consisting of 8 Blocks was separated from Palamau district as an independent district Garhwa with effect from 1st April 1991. It is situated on Southwest corner of Palamau division, which lies between 23060 and 24039 N latitude and 83022’ and 84000 E longitude. The district is surrounded by river Sone in the north; Palamau district and area of Chhatisgarh in the south; Palamau district in the east and Sarguja district of Chhatisgarh and Sonebhadra district of U.P. in the west. Garhwa district is a part of Palamau Commissionery consisting of 20 blocks and three subdivisions namely Garhwa, Ranka & Nagar-Untari.

Conditions of Contract
1. The candidates for the above posts will be selected for one year contract based post. The contract period may be extended for one year every year, based on the evaluation of the work of the selected candidates as required.
2. The contract can be terminated by the selection authority by giving one month advance notice or one month advance honorarium payment to the selected candidates on contract basis, without assigning any reason.
3. The selected candidates on contract basis will be paid the honorarium fixed by the State Government. Apart from this, no facility/allowance will be admissible to them as per the facility/allowance provided to the permanent servants by the State Government.
4. No claim for confirmation of service will be made in future by the selected candidates on contract basis.
5. District level reservation roster will be admissible on all the above posts. It will be mandatory to attach the certificate issued by the competent authority for the benefit of reservation.
6. No personal correspondence/contact will be entertained in connection with the appointment.
7. Verification of all the original certificates submitted by the selected candidates will be done within one month by the certificate issuing institution. If found wrong, legal action will be taken by canceling the appointment.
8. The honorarium fixed by the government will be payable and the departmental direction will be effective in future.
9. The amount of examination fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.

10. Self-attested copy of computer related certificate. (according to the desired qualification)
11. Self-attested copy of the residential certificate and caste certificate issued by the competent authority for claiming reservation.
12. Application can be sent through Registered/Speed Post to the Civil Surgeon cum Chief Medical Officer, Garhwa. It will be mandatory to clearly mention the name and post code of the post applied for in bold letters on the top of the envelope.

Selection Process
1. Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in academic, educational/technical and as per requirement in written examination, skill/efficiency of Applicable).
2. The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of total 100 marks. Out of which 40 ( forty ) marks will be based on the marks obtained in academics / academic ( Academics - 30 ( thirty ) and relevant higher qualification in the concerned stream of education if applicable -10 ( ten ) marks ) and remaining 60 ( sixty ) marks as required. The test/skill will be done on the basis of proficiency. The decision of the District Selection Committee will be final and binding.
3. Any kind of information will be informed from time to time through district website www.garhwa.nic.in after submission of application.
4. District level reservation roster will be followed in the selection process.
5. The notified vacancies are subject to change before the completion of the selection process.
6. According to the merit list prepared on the basis of the selection process, the candidates will be selected according to the number of vacancies. This merit list will be valid for the next one year.
7. For more than one post, it is mandatory for the candidate to send separate applications in separate envelopes specifying the post code. Also, it will be mandatory to pay the application fee separately for different posts.
8. For those candidates who will not submit the CGPA chart given by the institute, multiplying the CGPA between 01 to 10 by 10 and 01 to 05. The score will be calculated by multiplying the C GPA obtained in between.
9. Necessary amendment can be made in the conditions of the advertisement as per the requirement by the District Selection Committee.
10. The decision of the committee in the appointment process will be final and binding.
11. Any legal matter shall be subject to Garhwa Court.
12. It is necessary for the selected candidate to submit an affidavit that he will not be punished in any criminal case.
