Established in 1889, the Indian Veterinary Research Institute IVRI is one of the premier research institutions dedicated to livestock research and development of the region. The institute with faculty strength of more than 275 has a major mandate of research, teaching, consultancy and technology transfer activities. An Interview (Walk-in) has been scheduled for engagement of one JRF (Junior Research Fellow) in SERB-DST Core Research Grant (CRG) project entitled Epigenetic basis for thermal stress tolerance in Indian breeds and exotic cross-bred dairy cattle. The engagement is purely temporary on contractual basis and will be liable for termination at any time in case of unsatisfactory performance. There will be no provision of absorption/reemployment in ICAR/ICAR-IVRI or SERB-DST on termination of the project.
Post : JRF (Junior Research Fellow)
Qualification : Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (M.V.Sc./ M. Tech/M. Pharma. etc.) selected through a process described by any one of the followings:
a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests (NET)-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) and GATE
b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
Duration of the project : Likely up to January, 2023
Emoluments : Rs. 31,000/- PM +HRA (as per Central Govt norms)
Age limit : 30 years (relaxations to SC/ST/OBC and women candidates as per GOI rules)

Candidates should also bring No Objection Certificate from the employer in case he/she is employed elsewhere. No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the walk-ininterview.
