The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission is an Autonomous Body set up under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India primarily with the objectives of regularly updating the Indian Pharmacopoeia by publishing new edition and its Addenda, National Formulary of India and other related tasks such as preparing, certification and distribution of Reference Substances.

Post : Pharmacopoeial Associate (Scientific)

Qualification & Experience: Master degree in Microbiology or equivalent having experience in drug analysis in the field of Microbiology. Preference will be given to young dynamic personnel having experience in Sterility testing, Microbial Limit testing, Microbial Assay of Antibiotics and Bacterial Endotoxin Testing.

Applicant should possess practical knowledge of computer applications and internet usages.

Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years.

Remuneration: Rs.25,000/- p.m. (Consolidated)

Period of Engagement: The initial term of engagement will be for a period of one year, through an outsourced agency, and, subsequent extension, if any, can be considered on case to case basis depending on the job requirement and subject to fulfilment of performance evaluation.

Nature of Duties : Microbiological Analysis of Drugs & Pharmaceutical Products (Sterility testing, Microbial Limit testing, Microbial Assay of Antibiotics and Bacterial Endotoxin Testing). Any other work as assigned by the Competent Authority, from time to time.

General Instructions
1. The Competent Authority reserves the right to make any amendment in this advertisement in whole or in part, to fill or not to fill the posts without assigning any reason.
2. The contract appointment is purely temporary in nature and can be terminated by giving not less than one month’s notice on either side at any time without assigning any reason.
3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The Competent Authority reserves the right to reject any or all applications received without assigning any reasons or giving any notice.
