Project title: Strain property of α-synuclein fibrils: Implications in Synucleinopathies

Essential Qualifications & Experience :
Ph.D/ MD/ MS/ MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design anddevelopement experience after MVSc/ M.Pharm/ ME/ M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

Job Profile:
- Research Associate position is available in Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering at IIT Bombay. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who is interested in studying protein misfolding, protein aggregation and amyloid formation. The appointment will be made for a maximum period of 12 months.
- Successful candidate preferably should have at least 2 years of prior research experience in protein aggregation and amyloid formation area and also must know techniques such as protein expression and purification, protein aggregation study using spectroscopy (NMR, UV-Vis, CD, fluorescence, etc) and chromatography (HPLC, LCMS). Candidate with prior knowledge and experience in cell biology and microscopic imaging (confocal/fluorescence microscopy) will be preferred.

Pay Details: Level O3: Consolidated salary Rs.47000/- p.m. + HRA

General information:
The position is temporary for a period of 1 year and tenable only for the duration of the project.

The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for thesuccessful completion of the project.

The selection committee may offer lower or higher designationand lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in theinterview.
