The National Institute of Immunology (NII) is committed to advanced research addressing the basic mechanisms involved in body's defence to identify modalities for manipulation of the immune system to provide protection against diseases and understand mechanisms that can be used to target disease processes for intervention. The institute’s research thrust areas under immunology and related disciplines cluster in four main themes, namely, infection and immunity, molecular design, gene regulation and reproduction and development, where cutting edge research in modern biology is being carried out.
Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate / Senior Research Fellow/Junior Research Fellow (Project) for the following time bound sponsored project.
Name of the project & Duration of the Project : “Regulation of neuronal call cycle during differentiation and death” funded by DBT Tenable till – 07.03.2021
Research Associate:
Educational Qualifications: Ph.D. biotechnology / biochemistry / Life Sciences or any other related field from a recognised university.
Emoluments: The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules, depending upon qualifications & experience. Rs.36,000/- / 38,000/- and 40,000/- per month plus 30% HRA.
Senior Research Fellow (Project):
Educational Qualifications: M.Sc. in Biological Sciences with minimum of two years research experience. The candidates should have qualified any ‘National Level Examination’, as per DST OM dated 21.10.2014.
Emoluments: The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules, depending upon qualifications & experience Rs.28,000/- per month plus 30% HRA.
Junior Research Fellow (Project) :
Educational Qualifications: : M.Sc. in Biological Sciences. The candidates should have qualified any ‘National Level Examination’, as per DST OM dated 21.10.2014.
Emoluments: Rs.25,000/- per month plus 30% HRA.
Job description & Desired Knowledge: Candidates should have experience in Molecular biology, recombinant DNA, protein chemistry, Handling of mammalian cell lines and cell culture techniques. Candidates with live cell and confocal microscopy, FACS are also encouraged to apply.
General Terms & Conditions:
1. The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
2. No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.
3. Applicants may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and attach documentary proof of the same.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
5. Apart from sending application in the prescribed format given below, candidates should send complete Curriculum Vitae along with the names of three referees. Curriculum Vitae should contain details of the experimental expertise and list of publications.
