The history of Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small Unani clinic in the year 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, one of the well-known practitioners of Unani System of Medicine of his time. Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed had a vision of making the practice of Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline so that Unani medicines could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients.

The following purely temporary positions are available in a DST-sponsored research project entitled “A Cost Effective Oral Nanoformulation Development of Zoledronate for the Treatment of Osteoporosis” (PI: Dr. Yasmin Sultana).
Research Associate (1 post):
Emoluments: Rs 36000/- p. m. plus HRA @ 30%.
Tenure: 02 Years
Qualifications Essential: M. Pharm. (Pharmaceutics) with 03 years experience. Desirable: Experience of working in a research laboratory/institute. Candidates with PhD degree in Pharmaceutics or related disciplines may be given preference.
Project Assistant (1 post):
Emoluments: Rs 22000/- p. m. consolidated.
Tenure: 02 Years
Qualifications: Essential: Bachelors Degree in Science or Pharmacy with good typing skills
Desirable: Experience of working in a research laboratory.
