Post : Business Development Manager: Pharma Solutions

Job description
Purpose of the Job 
BDM will work in close collaboration with Sales & Content team to drive the revenue growth & market share in solutions business with special focus on digital solutions (including Resource centre, Mobile apps, online advertising etc.) and new initiatives. BDM will work with sales team in taking the new initiatives and solutions to pharma customers (Medical Affairs, product/marketing group) with a value story behind the suggested solutions. BDM should be innovative and work with content team to work towards developing the new solutions in advance.  BDM should work with pharma customers to help them engage their practitioners and should suggest meaningful inputs to improve sales and marketing effectiveness of the Pharma teams. BDM should be able to analyse the market trends, should come up with solutions and suggestions to our pharma customers leading to their success and measure their success to help build success stories.

Main Activities and Responsibilities
Cross functional collaboration
Work with sales and content teams to ensure progress on agreed initiatives – gather data, identify contingencies and required enabling activities, develop proposals, and assess opportunity size. Provide a central node of communication for issues that impact the pharma business across India.

Driving Strategic Pharma initiatives      
Lead local projects that advance Global Pharma strategy e.g. new pharma initiatives, new e-product pilots, extended society services etc.  Requires ability to monitor and drive projects through clear process development, working to goals and execution. Individual needs to work across functional and business unit lines and develop and maintain a culture of partnership between different parts of Pharma Solutions and important external stakeholders such as KOL's and societies.

Sales Strategy Support
Drive analysis for each launch to capture learnings for continuous process improvement. Assess current business processes for improvement opportunities and share them with the business. Analyze industry trends and share them with relevant Pharma teams. Most importantly his role will be critical in identifying opportunities for growing the Pharma solutions revenues and profitability and he will be measure on driving the same.

Candidate Profile :
• Post graduate in business management with science education background.
• Minimum of 6 to 7 years’ experience in Pharma or Healthcare market with specialization in digital solutions/products.
• Previous experience in selling Online Advertising is important but not essential.
