Research Recruitment for PG candidates at National Institute of Immunology

The National Institute of Immunology (NII) is a premier autonomous research institution under the Biotechnology Research Innovation Council (BRIC) of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. Established in 1981 under the leadership of its founder director, Prof. G. P. Talwar, the institute is located on a campus adjacent to Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. It was created with a vision to conduct advanced, cutting-edge research in basic and applied immunology to address critical global and national health challenges.

Post : Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) (One position only)

Duration : 6 Months (Six Months)
Name of the Project : “Nanobodies as therapeutics and diagnostics for CHIKV infection” funded by NOHM

Educational Qualifications : Must have a Post Graduate Degree, with at least 3 years of research experience in laboratory settings.

Desirable : A Ph.D. in Chemical or Biological Sciences would be preferable. The candidate should have demonstrated aptitude through publications in peer-reviewed journals. The preference will be given to candidates who have hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas: molecular biology, cell biology (bacterial and mammalian cell culture), protein biochemistry, Crystallography, and animal handling

Job Description : The PRS-I will perform cloning, overexpression, purification, in vitro studies, and protein crystallization for structure determination.

Emoluments : Rs. 56,000/- per month plus 30% HRA (As per funding agency norms)
