Banaras Hindu University is an internationally reputed temple of learning, situated in the holy city of Varanasi. This Creative and innovative university was founded by the great nationalist leader, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, in 1916 with cooperation of great personalities like Dr Annie Besant, who viewed it as the University of India. Banaras Hindu University was d under the Parliamentary legislation - B.H.U. Act 1915. Applications are invited for various temporary posts under the ICMR-funded project CAR : Centre for Advanced Research project entitled 'Gut Microbiome Manipulation Therapies In Intestinal Disease : Clinical Trials Networked Centre“ at the Department of Gastroenterology, Institute of Medical Sciences. Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. The position is completely temporary. Initially, it is for one year, which can be extended after die candidate's satisfactory performance and co-terminus with the project.
Emolument : Rs. 56,000/- +HRA as admissible (1 Post)
Upper age limit : 35 Years
Essential qualification : First Class Post Graduate Degree in Biochemistry / Biotechnology/ Microbiology Including Integrated PG Degrees OR Second Class Post Graduate Degree in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology, including the integrated above PG Degrees with PhD
Desirable qualification / Experience : • PhD in Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biotechnology from a recognised university with 2 years' experience in R & D/ research after PhD in a recognised institute/university.
• Publications in Scopus / SCI-indexed Journals.
• Experience in handling Laboratory instruments/molecular techniques, good scientific writing and preparation of project reports Experience in project management and managing the overall activities of the project
