Name of the Project : “Tools for the differential profiling of sialoglycoconjugates in the central nervous system in mice using disease models” funded by DBT
Educational Qualifications : SRF: M.Sc in Chemistry or Organic Chemistry or M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry with two years of research experience. JRF: M.Sc in Chemistry or Organic Chemistry or M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. The candidate should have qualified for any National Level Examination’.
Desirable : Hands-on experience in gram-scale organic synthesis, protection- deprotection methodologies, purification through column chromatography, interpretation of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), both 1D and 2D, and mass spectrometry. Fresh MSc graduates are encouraged to apply.
Job Description : To design and synthesize small molecules based on carbohydrates, amino acids, non-canonical analogues, and their prodrug candidates – in multi-step and multi-gram scale – using regio-selective protection/ de-protection methodologies, purification by column chromatography, characterization using NMR and Mass Spectrometry.
Emoluments SRF: Rs. 42,000/- per month plus 27% HRA
JRF : Rs. 37,000/- per month plus 27% HRA
