Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board is inviting online applications for selection through direct recruitment to 62 vacant posts of Pharmacist (Allopathic) under Group 'C' in Employees State Insurance Scheme, Labour Medical Services, Uttarakhand.
Post : Pharmacist (Allopathic)
No of posts : 62 (SC-11, ST-02, OBC-08, EWS-06, UR-35)
Pay Scale : Rs.35,400 - Rs.1,12,400/- (Level 6)
Educational Qualification and Preferred Qualification:- For direct recruitment to the post of Pharmacist in the service, the candidate must have the following qualifications - The candidate should have a diploma in pharmacy from a recognized institution and should also be registered with the State Pharmacy Council Uttarakhand.
Preferential Qualifications:- In case of direct recruitment, other things being equal, preference will be given to such candidate who- 1. Has served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of 02 years, or
2. Has obtained "B" certificate or "C" certificate of National Cadet Corps.
It is mandatory for the candidate to have permanent/renewed registration certificate till the last date of applying online in State Pharmacy Council Uttarakhand. If the registration of the candidate is not valid/renewed till the last date of submission of application form, then he/she will be declared ineligible.
Age:- The decisive date for age calculation is 01 July 2024. The age of the candidate should be minimum 21 years on 01 July 2024 and should not have attained more than 42 years of age. But the upper age limit for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and such other categories of Uttarakhand State as may be notified by the State Government from time to time shall be as many years more as specified in the rules.
Nature of post :- Non-gazetted / Contributory Pensioner.
Nationality:- For direct recruitment to any post in the Service a candidate must:-
(a) be a citizen of India; or
(b) be a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India; or
(c) be a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or any of the East African countries, Kenya, Uganda and the United Republic of Tanganyika and Zanzibar with the intention of permanently settling in India:
Provided that a candidate belonging to category (b) or (c) of the above category must obtain a State Certificate of Eligibility. Provided that candidates belonging to category (b) shall also be required to obtain a certificate of eligibility from the State Government.
Provided also that if a candidate belongs to category (c) above, the certificate of eligibility shall not be issued for a period exceeding one year from the date of receipt of the certificate and such a candidate shall be retained in service beyond the period of one year subject to the condition that he has acquired the citizenship of India.
Note :- A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary but the same has neither been issued nor refused may be admitted to any examination and may also be finally appointed subject to the condition that the necessary certificate is obtained by him or issued in his favour.
Character : The character of a candidate for direct recruitment to any post in the Service should be such that he is fully fit for employment in the Government Service. The appointing authority shall satisfy himself in this regard. Note:- Persons dismissed by the Union Government or a State Government or by any local authority or by any local corporation or body owned or controlled by the Union Government or a State Government shall not be eligible for appointment to any post in the Service. Persons convicted of any offence involving moral turpitude shall also not be eligible for appointment.
Fee : To fill the online application form, the candidate will first have to register online. Thereafter, after filling the complete application form, he will have to pay the application fee. Application fee can be paid online (Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI). If the fee is deposited after the last date prescribed for depositing the application fee, then the candidate will not be able to apply and the deposited fee will not be refunded to the candidate under any circumstances. The candidate must keep the receipt of the deposited fee / copy of the online application safe with him. It is mandatory for the candidate to deposit the following application / examination fee:-
Unreserved (General) : Rs.300/- only
Economically Weaker Section (EWS) : Rs.150/- only
Uttarakhand Other Backward Class (OBC) : Rs.300/- only
Uttarakhand Scheduled Caste (SC) : Rs.150/- only
Uttarakhand Scheduled Tribe (ST) : Rs.150/- only
Uttarakhand Disabled : Rs.150/- only
General Instructions
a) Candidates are cautioned to apply only if they fulfil all the conditions of the advertisement.
b) The Board does not advise the candidates regarding their eligibility. Therefore, candidates should study the advertisement carefully and apply only if they are satisfied that they are eligible as per the conditions of the advertisement. They should also carefully read the syllabus published in the advertisement.
c) The admission of candidates at all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional. Mere issuance of Admit Card to a candidate will not imply that his candidature has been finally confirmed by the Board. If at any stage it is found that the candidate was not eligible or his application should have been rejected or was not eligible to be accepted at the initial stage itself, his candidature will be cancelled and even if he is finally selected, the recommendation of the Board will be withdrawn.
d) Any change in the details mentioned in the original online application form will not be allowed under any circumstances.
e) Candidates should ensure that their signatures at all places in their application form, attendance list etc. and in all correspondence with the Board should be the same and there should not be any difference in them. If any difference is found in the signatures made by the candidates at different places, the Board can cancel his candidature.
f) Filling the application form carefully is an important task. Candidates should fill the application form only after carefully reading the minimum educational qualification prescribed for the post, registration details, categories and sub-categories of reservation etc. because it is not possible to verify the online form. In case of any kind of error in this, the candidature can be cancelled even after the final selection.
g) Only the date of birth mentioned in the high school certificate will be valid. No other record other than the said certificate will be valid for date of birth.
h) Those candidates who are not found eligible as per the conditions of the advertisement, their candidature will be cancelled and they will have no claim for admission in the examination.
i) The decision of the Board regarding candidature/qualification/eligibility will be final. The list of unqualified candidates will be published on the Board's website.
j) In all correspondences to the Board, the candidates must mention their name along with the name of the advertised post/examination, advertisement number, date of birth of the candidate, father/husband's name, registration number and roll number (if mentioned). Candidates must sign the correspondence in the same manner as they have uploaded in the online application form. Correspondence with the Board by any person other than the candidate will not be valid.
k) All claims related to educational qualification, caste certificate and other certificates will be valid till the last date of application. Certificates issued after that will not be valid.
l) All information related to the examination will be made known to the candidates through the Board's website ukmssb.org. Therefore, ensure to visit the Board's website from time to time. Candidates are not allowed to use photo camera, calculator, mobile phone, pager, scanner pen or any type of communication device or any electronic device during the examination in the examination centre premises. If they are found violating these instructions, then other actions including ban on appearing in this examination or all the examinations to be conducted by Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board can be taken against them. Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any prohibited material including photo camera, mobile phone, pager, scanner pen or any type of communication device or any electronic device to the examination centre as their security cannot be arranged.
m) Unfair means are strictly prohibited. No candidate in the examination hall shall copy from the answer sheet of any other candidate, nor get it copied, nor give any other kind of unfair assistance, nor attempt to give assistance, nor receive assistance, nor attempt to obtain it. For any such misconduct, action will be taken against the candidate as per the provisions of Uttarakhand Competitive Examinations (Prevention and Redressal Measures of Scheduled Means of Recruitment) Act 2023.
n) Conduct in the examination hall: No candidate should misbehave in any way in the examination hall, create chaos and harass the staff deployed by the Board for conducting the examination. Strict punishment will be given for any such misconduct. After the end of the examination, hand over the original copy of the answer sheet (O.M.A.) to the room inspector and then go out of the examination hall. If the candidate does not give the original copy of the answer sheet to the room inspector and takes it himself, then the result of such a candidate will be withheld and legal action will be taken against him.
o) Action against candidates found guilty of malpractice Candidates are cautioned not to submit any false details or hide any important information while applying. They are also cautioned not to make any corrections or changes or otherwise alter any entry in any document submitted by them or its attested/certified copy and also not to submit any altered/fake document. If there is any discrepancy or discrepancy between two or more documents or their attested/certified copies, the candidate should explain the discrepancy. In case of carrying prohibited material in the examination hall, using unfair means, misbehavior, the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled and he will be debarred from the Board examinations and other legal action will also be taken against him. Indiscipline by the candidates in other stages of selection after the examination will also be a ground for cancellation of their candidature.
