Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under Industry funded project
Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Biological Sciences at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus for the Panacea Biotec Limited sponsored research project titled "Development of probiotics and active pharmaceutical ingredients through synthetic biology".
Principal Investigator : Dr. Sonal Ayakar
Duration of the project : 3 years
Fellowship Amount : Rs. 35,000 per month (consolidated) (with an 8-10% fellowship increment every subsequent year based on the performance)
Accommodation : Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.
Qualification : Post Graduate Degree in Sciences (Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry etc.) OR Graduate / Post Graduate in Degree in Engineering and Technology (Biotechnology, Biochemical, Bioprocess, Chemical, Food Technology, Pharmacy etc.). Knowledge of microbial fermentation, basic molecular biology techniques (PCR, cloning, protein analysis, electrophoresis), and chromatographic analysis is desirable.
Preliminary shortlisting will be based on the CV uploaded and telephonic conversation within a week of the application deadline. For the final interview, the candidate will be informed through e-mail. No TA/DA will be provided in case of a personal interview. The selected candidate will get a chance to apply for the PhD Program at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus (Rules of PhD program for BITS Pilani are applicable).
