TIFR invites applications from MSc/ M Tech / M.Pharm - Fellowship upto 54,600 per month

Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), an Autonomous Institute under the aegis of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India and is also a Deemed University, mainly awarding degrees for doctoral programs.

The Department of Chemical Sciences (DCS), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, invites applications from exceptionally talented and strongly motivated students for admission to its PhD Graduate Program.

Eligibility :
• Applicants have to be JRF-qualified in CSIR-UGC NET in Chemical Sciences.
• MSc/ M Tech / M.Pharm or equivalent degree.
• Applicants latest degree should be in 2023 or later.
GRADUATE SCHOOL :
The academic year starts from January 1, 2025.
Stipend : • PhD students : monthly fellowship of Rs. 37,000 (+ 30% HRA), enhanced to Rs. 42,000/- (+30%) HRA after registration for PhD
Note : This mid-term selection is distinct from the ongoing GS-2025 selections. All mid-term students will be offered Day Scholar positions for the entire 5-year duration of the PhD (i.e. will have to make their own housing arrangements using the HRAfor the entire duration).

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
• Candidates have to fill the online application form.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online interview round. The date(s) of the interview will be informed to the candidates via email (approximately within fifteen days of the application deadline).
JOINING DATE :
Selected candidates will be informed within 15 days after the interview and may join immediately. If need be, some extension of joining date may be possible upon request.
