The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.
Post : Junior Research Fellow
Applications are invited for one (1) post of Junior Research Fellow in an ICMR funded project with Dr. Sheetal Sharma, Associate Professor, Department of Experimental Medicine & Biotechnology as per details given below.
Essential Qualification : Post Graduate Degree in Genetics / Life Sciences / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Immunology / Biotechnology
Desirable : Candidates with experience in handling mammalian cell culture, western blotting, real- time PCR, gene and protein expression will be preferred.
Upper Age limit : upto 28 years. (Relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH /women candidate as per rules).
Remuneration : As per ICMR rules
The engagement in the project is purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. However, appointment will be offered for a period of 1 year only. Please note that it is not a PGIMER/ICMR appointment and will not confer any right on the incumbent to any claim implicit or explicit on any position.
