Job Description
This position is a senior leadership role, which will directly lead and manage the science teams for India CHC, assuring the integration and transversal work in-between all the functions that are part of the Science Team (Medical, Regulatory) and , reporting to the AMEA/China Regional Science Head. The Science Head India will lead the science strategy, operational excellence, execution and governance to support the India innovation and business organization. He or she acts as the key Science counterpart to the country brand and innovation Heads and shall sit in the India country leadership team as the single point of contact of Science (regulatory and medical).
Main responsibilities
• Lead and develop a high performing team by developing capabilities and competencies, establishing objectives and development goals for the India Science team
• Foster an environment/culture of learning, challenging mindset and sharing of best practice within the team
• Develop and maintain an interactive working relationship with India and Global CHC business partners and ensure interfaces among SH, Country, regional and Global CHC SH Teams
• Ensure the overall implementation of goals and strategies of the team and ensure the coordination of ways of working as part of the CHC science leadership team AMEA/China
• Ensure claims development, execution, excellence in accordance to the process
• Ensure best practices and appropriate review of claims, execution and advertising materials by Local teams
• Set the strategic direction of the Science organization & allocate resources to prioritized opportunities
• Maintain Oversight of:
* budget planning and review process
* Coordination of input as required during the global brand plans strategy development process
* Processes and Quality documents driving awareness and implementation of those quality documents at zone and country level
• Drive operational efficiency planning and monitoring, including monitoring of activities and performance including submissions and respective KPIs
• Lead the management of identified maintenance activities as required and ensure compliance of the marketed product portfolio
• Ensure preparation of Local dossiers
• Ensure labeling development and maintenance is in line with products overall strategies
• Lead the shape of the India Regulatory environment through active contribution in India industry associations and in collaboration with Public & Government Affairs
• Work closely with all science functions within Science hub to ensure compliance of all activities to company standards and local regulations

Candidate Profile
• MS; Pharm D, MD, PhD or equivalent preferred
• Experience: 7-10 years in Science (Medical, Regulatory), including leadership roles, and experience at country level
• Technical skills:
• Excellent understanding of the consumer healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, drug development environment, and R&D processes and objectives
• Knowledge of the India CHC environment (regulatory, Indust. Associations, Public & Government affairs).
• Expert knowledge of consumer healthcare regulations and requirements, HA regulations and ability to evaluate impact of those regulations within the drug development environment and to lead discussions of the requirements and its impacts within submission teams
• Business acumen in understanding business and brand strategy and translate into science strategies and executional plans to drive business growth
• Challenging mindset to drive the creativity for innovation, claims, science engagements and new product registration, and post marketed products support
