CSIR-NBRI is looking for engagement of an outstanding R&D professional on the purely temporary position of Consultant in CSIR funded project entitled ‘‘CSIR Floriculture Mission Phase-II” (HCP0037) on contractual basis. Accordingly, applications in the prescribed format (As per Annexure-I) are invited from eligible candidates for engagement on the purely temporary position, as per details given below.
Area : Botanical Garden, Plant Conservation & Agrotechnologies
Essential Qualification : Ph.D. in Chemistry
Desirable Qualification : Experience in Natural product chemistry; processing and quality assessment of essential oils, analytical method development and validation of quantification of secondary metabolites in plant materials; extraction, isolation and purification of Phytomolecules from medicinal and aromatic plant materials, Distillation extraction of essential oils, concrete and absolute.
Job Description : Chemical analysis of flowers, fragrance mapping and honey testing
Age : Upto 65 years
Tenure of Appointment : The appointment to the post of Consultant shall be initially upto 31-03-2024 and can be extended as per extent guidelines of CSIR.
Emoluments : Rs. 60,000/- (Rupees Sixty Thousand Only) per month (consolidated)
Engagement / Selection Process : Consultant would be selected on the recommendations of an expert committee, which will select suitable candidate on the basis of information available through application of candidates and on overall performance in the interview before Selection Committee.
Eligibility Criteria : The applicant must be a citizen of India
Instructions for the Candidates
1. Before filling up the application form, candidates are advised to check their eligibility as per the advertisement.
2. The application duly accompanied by attested copies of the certificates, mark sheets, testimonials in support of age, and PPO & last Pay Slip, in case of superannuated candidate(s), alongwith one recent passport size self-signed photograph affixed on the specified place in the application form should be sent in an envelope superscribed “ADVERTISEMENT NO. 11 / Project / 2023” by Speed Post / Registered Post in the office of Controller of Administration, CSIR-NBRI, Lucknow-226001 so as to reach on or before 13-10-2023.
3. Candidates will required to bring original of all their testimonials, educational qualification certificates at the time of selection process.
4. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for appearing in the interview.
Terms and Conditions :
1. Selected candidates will have to sign an agreement with CSIR-NBRI, which would contain details of the offer, monthly emoluments and any other applicable benefits.
2. The appointment of the selected candidates in the CSIR/externally funded project will be co-terminus with the project subject to his/her satisfactory progress, receipt of the funds from CSIR and other extant rules/ conditions/instructions issued by CSIR/GoI/Other Authorities from time to time. Total tenure of the Project Staff in different projects either in the same lab/institute of different lab/institute of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 5 years in any case.
3. In case of Universities/Institutes awarding CGPA/SGPA/OGPA Grades etc., candidates are requested to convert the same into percentage based on the formula as per their University/Institute.
4. Number of position(s) may vary at the time of selection.
5. Canvassing in any form and / or bringing any influence political or otherwise will be treated as disqualification for the post.
6. In case, it is detected at any point of time in future, even after engagement, that the candidate was not eligible, engagement of the candidate shall be liable to termination forthwith as per this clause.
7. All candidates must fulfil the essential qualifications of the post and other conditions stipulated in the advertisement. They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess the essential qualifications laid down for the post. The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and selection is through open competition. Therefore, mere possession of the minimum education qualification does not entitle candidates for selection to the post.
