NIAB, an autonomous institute under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute’s research focus is on animal genetics and genomics, transgenesis, stem cell & its applications, reproductive biotechnology, infectious diseases, nanotechnology, bioinformatics and Nutrigenomics. The Institute aims at translational research leading to genetic enhancement of Indian Livestock species and basic research towards development of novel vaccines, diagnostics and improved therapeutic molecules for farm animals.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.
Project Title : Nanostructured paper-kit comprising magnetic nanoparticle for naked eye and rapid detection of subclinical and clinical mastitis : optimization for large scale production and clinical validation in field condition”
PI : Dr. Pankaj Suman
Tenure of the Project : Upto 06 Months.
Eligibility : a. MSc (Life Sciences / Biotechnology) with NET qualification or,
b. Non-NET-qualified candidates with postgraduate degrees in the above-mentioned subjects can also apply; they will be paid as per DST guidelines.
Desired Experience : A candidate with experience in the development of in-vitro diagnostics, 3D printing technology, synthesis, and characterization of nanoparticles will be given preference.
Fellowship amount : Rs.31,000/-PM + 24% HRA as per the DST guidelines.
Age : 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)
