National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar (formerly known as Gujarat Forensic Sciences University) has been established in 2008 and elevated as National University and Institution of National Importance by the Government of India in October 2020. The University is located in the capital city of Gujarat, in the beautifully landscaped area. Presently the University has its four campuses located in Gandhinagar, Delhi, Goa and Tripura. The University is looking for a dedicated and committed faculty members who believe in institution building and have passion for excellence.

NFSU promotes an interdisciplinary culture and faculty members can collaborate with University faculty in interdisciplinary areas of forensic science, cyber/digital forensics, humanities and social sciences. Minimum Eligibility Requirements for Assistant Professor (Contractual) Qualifications : PhD in the appropriate branch with first class at the preceding degree or equivalent in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. The candidate who has given the viva voce for the award of Ph.D may also apply.
Forensic Pharmacy : Gandhinagar Campus - 02 posts
Remuneration : Consolidated fixed monthly remuneration of Rs. 90,000/- only.
Essential Qualifications
Pharmacy / Forensic Chemistry : Ph.D. in relevant discipline with first class or equivalent (minimum 60 % or equivalent) at the preceding degree i.e. Master Degree in Pharmacy / Chemistry / Forensic Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Human Biochemistry / Toxicology/ Life Sciences from recognized university or equivalent with very good academic record throughout. * For faculty in Pharmacy, the Registration as Pharmacist under Pharmacy Act is mandatory.
Desirable: Candidate having experience in the field of Pharmacy / Forensic Science / Pharmacy or relevant field.
Analytical Chemistry : Ph.D. in relevant discipline with first class or equivalent (minimum 60 % or equivalent) at the preceding degree i.e. Master Degree in Pharmacy/Chemistry/Forensic Chemistry/Applied Chemistry/Biochemistry from recognized university or equivalent with very good academic record throughout. Desirable: Candidate having experience in the field of Forensic Science/Pharmacy/Chemistry or relevant domain.
Environmental Forensics : Ph.D. in relevant discipline with first class or equivalent (minimum 60 % or equivalent) at the preceding degree i.e. Master Degree in Environment Science /Life Sciences / Biology / Bio Technology / Chemistry with Environmental Science as one of the subjects at Master Level from recognized university or equivalent with very good academic record throughout. Desirable: Candidate having experience in the field of Environmental Forensics, Forensic Science or relevant domain.

Other Terms and conditions:
a) The posts listed above are temporary positions on contractual basis for one year or till the recruitment for regular assistant professors is done or whichever is earlier.
b) One set of certified documents (degree/mark sheet/experience certificate, etc) should be submitted to the University at the time of Interview. c) The original certificate(s) must be shown at the time of interview.
d) If found that the candidate is not progressing as desired, the University has the complete authority to expel the appointee at any time
e) After the first round of interview, the suitable candidates will be recommended for the second round. The candidate needs to conduct presentation before the selection committee in the second round and on the basis of candidate’s performance, consideration for the contractual appointment will be made.
