Job for Senior Research Fellow at NII

National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a "Deficiency Disease Enquiry" and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director.

Applications are invited through email from eligible candidates for the following post/position for ad hoc intramural research projects funded by ICMR-NIN.

Post : Senior Research Fellow (Non-Medical)

Tittle of the study/ Project : Development of Fermented products with Vitamin B12 producing bacteria

Category : SC ( Relaxation will be given as per rule)

Essential Qualifications : M.Sc (Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Gene Technology) with at least 2 years research experience in relevant field

Desirable : Experience in Nutritional Research / gut microbial with relevant technical skills in cell culture as well as in Animal Studies. Publication will be added advantage.

Age : Below 35 years.

Consolidated Salary/Stipend : Rs.35,000/- plus HRA.

Tenure : One year, extendable for one more year based on the performance

Place of work : NIN, Hyderabad.

Selection Procedure: The shortlisting will be merely depending on the fulfillment of the essential education qualification and age will be reckoned as on 31st October, 2020.
