Post : Post-Doctoral Research Associate
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Faculty of Cardiovascular Medicine & Sciences, the core constituent of the BHF Centre.
Department : Cardiovascular Sciences
The applicant will work on a BHF-funded project aimed at investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms of metabolic rewiring in angiogenesis. It combines an array of expertise from non-coding RNAs, vascular biology and gene editing, cell reprogramming and differentiation towards vascular cells, to metabolic profiling.
Applicants must hold a PhD in Biology/Biochemistry (or an equivalent scientific degree), be highly motivated, independent and should be able to integrate and work as part of a team. An excellent background in cardiovascular and molecular biology as well as fluently spoken English is essential and required. Experience in working with human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS), tissue engineering and a good knowledge of non-coding RNA biology is highly desirable.
Grade and Salary : Grade 6, £38,304 to £39,345 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 36 months.
This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.
