NICED moved from the rented premises at No. 3 Kyd Street to its own establishment at P-33, C.I.T. Road, Scheme XM, Beliaghata, Kolkata 700010, adjacent to the Infectious Diseases Hospital. The unique feature of this Institute is that it conducts basic research and applied clinical and epidemiological research on diarrhoeal diseases under the same roof. This Institute has its basic science set up with well equipped, modern technological facilities in different disciplines such as bacteriology, virology, parasitology, biochemistry, pathophysiology, molecular biology, electron microscopy, immunology and biochemistry.

The following post is to be filled up on purely temporary basis under the project entitled “Centre for Product Development and Rational Use of Drugs” under Dr. Shanta Dutta, Director and Scientist ‘G’ of this Institute
Qualification and Experiences :
Essential: Qualification of JRF (as described below) with two years of research experience vide ICMR order No. 16/139/2014-Admn-II, dated 11.06.2019
Qualification of JRF: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science Or Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following: a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC, NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and Gate. b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISER etc. Desirable: Work experience as evident from research publications.
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 35,000/- + 24% HRA
Age : Not exceeding 35 years as on 21.10.2019
N.B.: Age is relax-able for SC/ST/OBC/PH Candidates as per Govt. of India Rules. Also relax able for candidates worked in ICMR projects.
