ICMR - Regional Medical Research Centre, NE, Dibrugarh is one of the 26 permanent institutes of Indian Council of Medical Research. The Centre was established on 12th day of July in the year 1982. It covers the most remote and less developed eight states of the north-eastern region of India and is responsible for carrying out Biomedical Research in the region and runs with intramural grant from ICMR and extramural adhoc projects from different funding agencies.
Interested and eligible candidates may walk-in for interview for the following temporary post under “Establishment of Model Rural Health Research Units (MRHRUs) in the State of Assam” implemented by ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre, N. E. Region, Dibrugarh, Assam.
Scientist C (Medical / Non Medical)
For Medical Candidates
Essential Qualification
Post graduate degree (MD/MS) after MBBS from a recognized university with 1 (one) years R&D / teaching experience
Or
Postgraduate diploma in Medical subjects after MBBS from a recognized university/ institution with 2 (two) years R&D / leaching experience Or MBBS degree recognized by MCI with 4 (four) years R&D Teaching experience in medical subjects after MBBS Degree.
Desirable Qualification
(i) MD in Medicine/ Community Medicine/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry or any other subjects in Medical Science.
(ii) Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in medical subjects in recognized institute(s)
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools /Data Management
Age limit : Mot exceeding 40 years
Salary : Rs. 75,000/- per month (fixed)
for Non Medical Candidates
Essential Qualification
First class Master’s degree in Public Health/ Microbiology / Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Life sciences from a recognized university with 4 (four) years R&D / teaching experience in relevant field. Or Second class M.Sc + Ph.D degree in Public Health/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Life sciences from a recognized University with 4 (four) years R&D/teaching experience
Desirable Qualification
(i) Doctorate Degree in Public Health / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Life sciences from a recognize university for candidates with first class relevant degree
(ii) Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in Public Health/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Life sciences in recognized instituted)
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools /Data Management
Age limit : Mot exceeding 40 years
Salary : Rs. 70,000/- per month (fixed)

1. The posts arc purely temporary and co-terminable with the project. The Govt, of India/ICMR/RMRC N. E. Region, Dibrugarh, will not take any guarantee for/will not be responsible for any confirmation / regularization of the posts in future.
2. Age relaxation is admissible in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates. Retrenched Govt. Employees, Departmental Candidates (including projects) and Ex-servicemen in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Govt, from time to time. Age concession to the extent of service rendered in other research projects will also be admissible for experienced and skilled persons. OBC candidates will have to produce “Non Creamy Layer” Certificate.
3. Candidates must possess the essential qualification as mentioned in the advertisement on the day of the interview/written test.
4. Candidates should come with up-to-date bio-data, 2 copies of recent passport size coloured photograph, and self-attested photocopies of certificates in support of age, educational qualifications, caste and experience along with the original documents.
5. The applicants must provide a valid Email ID and Contact Number.
6. Candidates must reach the Center and register themselves before 10.00 AM. No candidates will be allowed to enter after 10.00 AM.
7. The candidate will have to stay and work in any other places of North East India wherever posted/transferred in connection with the scheme/project work as deemed necessary.
8. No TA/DA etc. will be provided for attending the interview.
9. The decision of ICMR, New Delhi and ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre, N. E. Region, Dibrugarh, will be final in all regard. Canvassing in any form or bringing political or other outside influence with regard to selection/recruitment shall liable for disqualification.
