Walk in interview for Senior Research Fellow at NICPR

National Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research has a unique approach of amalgamating strong basic, clinical and applied research, involving medical and community practice with an emphasis on early detection, primary and secondary prevention of cancer. The thrust areas of research include the cancer of the uterine cervix, breast and oral cavity.

Walk in Interview for the Positions of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) is being scheduled as per the details, terms & conditions given below against the each project. The candidates are advised to read the advertisement carefully. There are three different projects having the vacant positions.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Name of Project : “Molecular Evaluation of Anticancer and Antiviral properties of Thuja Occidentalis” under Dr. R. Suresh Kumar, Scientist-D

Place of posting : NICPR, Noida and as per requirement of the Project

Essential qualification : Master’s Degree in any branch of AYUSH OR Life Sciences with 2 years research experience in Molecular Biology , tissue culture, biochemistry.

Desirable qualification : The Candidates should have hands on experience in performing Basic Molecular Biology, tissue culture Techniques (handling DNA, RNA, PCR, Western blotting, cloning, culturing Cancer cell etc.) Handling Mouse Models is preferred. NET qualified will be preferred.

Age limit : Not exceeding 35 Years on 01.10.2018.

Emoluments : Fixed Rs 28,000 + HRA per month Month

Nature of Duties : Performing Laboratory experiments, tissue culture maintenance, animal maintenance (JNU) and report writing.

2 years( two years)

Duration of contract
Six months ( renewable based on performance)

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

(1) “Genomics of Gall bladder Carcinoma in Indian Patients “ project duration five year. (2) “Role of cellular transcription factor NF-KB and HPV in the development of esophageal Carcinogenesis” project duration two year. under Dr. Showket Hussain, Scientist-C

Place of posting : NICPR, Noida and as per requirement of the Project

Essential qualification : M.Sc. in Life Sciences (Bio-technology/ Bio-chemistry/Micro-biology) with 2 years research experience.

Desirable qualification : Working experience of Molecular Biology techniques relevant to cancer research Next generation Sequencing analysis & interpretation , cell culture Techniques with track record of co-Authored publications in indexed Journals.

Age limit : Not exceeding 35 Years on 01.10.2018

Emoluments : Fixed Rs 28,000 + HRA per month Month

Nature of Duties : Conducting independent research, writing reports, manuscripts, sample collection at any other Scientific assigned job.

One Year ( renewable based on performance)

The Terms & Conditions for the post are as follows
1. The Posts are purely temporary for the project duration only.
2. The appointment is terminable with one month notice from either side.
3. The incumbent selected will have no claim for regular appointment at NICPR/ICMR/Govt.
4. No benefit of Provident Fund, HRA, CTC, Medical Claims etc. is admissible.
5. Age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, PwD as per Govt. rules.
6. Age will be counted on 01.10.2018.
7. No travel charges will be paid to attend the interview.
8. The number of positions can be decreased / increased at the discretion of Director, NICPR.
9. The competent authority has the right to screen /reject the candidature or cancel whole selection procedure without assigning any reason.
10. Any type of canvassing will be treated as disqualification.
11. Incomplete, without photo pasted, unsigned bio-data will not be considered.
12. Copy of documents (Age, educational qualification, experience, caste etc.) attachment is necessary and original needs to be bring at the time of examination/interview.
13. Copy of Identity proof (Aadhar/PanCard/ Passport/Driving License-card type) is to be attached and original needs to be bring at the time of examination/interview.
14. Reservation certificate should be as per Govt. of India Rules.
15. Applicants should write the name of the Project and Project In-charge on the top of application.
16. Persons already in regular/permanent service under any Government Department /Organization are not eligible to apply.
17. The selected candidate will work in the project mentioned above, and on any other work that may be assigned by the Principal Investigator/Director from time to time.
18. Application must be submitted in the given format only. Bio-data in any other format or incomplete will not be allowed.

Candidate should choose any one out of three positions as per their qualification, desirable qualification & working experience. Candidates who completely full fill the advertised criteria will be allowed to participate in the interview. There will be no change of project at the time of interview or later on.

Note : Candidate needs to submit his bio-data in given format along with required documents on the scheduled date for Walk-in-interview. Name of Project In-charge is mandatorily to be mentioned on the top of the bio-data.
