The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology provides a scientific and educational environment of the highest standard and conducts innovative research in life sciences for the benefit of developing countries. One Research Associate (RA) and one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions are available in the ICGEB Yeast Biofuel Group for a DBT sponsored project to work on yeast metabolic engineering for biofuel production and next generation sequencing data analysis. Initially, these positions are available for the period of one year and based on the performance of the candidate can be further extended.
Educational Qualification:
RA candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences/Bioinformatics.
JRF candidates should hold a MSc. with NET/GATE
Candidates with prior research experience in yeast molecular biology/ cloning/ metabolic engineering/ protein expression and computational biology / NGS analysis/ genomics, proteomics will be preferred.
