Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, a constituent of CSIR is a leading research Institute in the area of chemical sciences. It was established as Central Laboratories for Scientific and Industrial Research (CLSIR) in the year 1944 by the Nizam State and after independence it was brought under the CSIR as Regional Research Laboratory. It was rechristened as CSIR- IICT in the year 1989 as it acquired a national character. The Institute’s core strength lies in Organic Chemistry and it continues to excel in this field. The research efforts during these years have resulted in development of several innovative processes for a variety of products necessary for human welfare such as drugs, agrochemicals, food, specialty chemicals, organic intermediates and energy. More than 150 technologies developed by CSIR-IICT are now in commercial production.

CSIR – IICT is conducting Walk-in Interview for the following positions purely on a temporary basis for various projects at 09:30 A.M. on Thursday October 18, 2017 at CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad.

Research Associate
Essential Qualifications : Ph.D (Life Sciences viz. Biotechnology, Microbiology, Veterinary & Pharmacological Sciences) or M.Pharm/MVSc with three years R&D experience related to cell culture, immunological and animal handling techniques with hands on experience in Flow cytometry, ELISA, Western Blotting, Microscopy
Desirable Qualifications & Experience : All the Candidates who are applying for RA must have at least one research publication in standard refereed journal as listed in Journal Citation Reports (JCR)
Title of the Project : Novel adjuvants for malaria vaccine development
Stipend per month (Rs.) : 36000+HRA

Research Associate
Essential Qualifications : M.Tech in Chemical Engineering (specialization in Plant Design) with 3 years experience in Process Development and Process Design
Desirable Qualifications & Experience : All the Candidates who are applying for RA must have at least one research publication in standard refereed journal as listed in Journal Citation Reports (JCR)
Title of the Project : Process development for the production of paracetamol using acetic acid and submission of basic design report for commercial plant of 10000 TPA capacity
Stipend per month (Rs.) : 36000+HRA

 

Senior Research Fellow – Project
Essential Qualifications : MSc Biotechnology with 55% marks with 3 years experience
Title of the Project : Exploring the Possibility of using Venom-derived peptides to mitigate stroke induced brain damage by targeting acid sensing ion channel
Stipend per month (Rs.) : 28000+HRA

Junior Research Fellow – Project
Essential Qualifications : MSc Chemistry (Inorganic/Organic) with 55% marks
Desirable Qualifications & Experience : MSc Chemistry (Organo-metallic Chemistry)
Title of the Project : An investigative study on the optoelectronic properties of group 16 pi conjugated materials containing peripheral boron moieties
Stipend per month (Rs.) : 25000+HRA

Junior Research Fellow – Project

Stipend per month (Rs.) : 28000/- (Consolidated)

Project Assistant - II
Essential Qualifications : First Class MSc (Microbiology/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry) with one year relevant experience in immunological techniques Or First Class MPharmacy (Pharmacology/ Pharmaceutics/ Medicinal Chemistry) with GPAT qualification Or First Class MSc (Organic Chemistry) with one year relevant R&D experience in Organic Synthesis. Candidates with NET-LS preferred
Title of the Project : Novel adjuvants for malaria vaccine development

Research Associate - Project 35 years
Senior Research Fellow (SRF) - Project 32 years

Project Assistant Level – III 35 years
Project Assistant Level – II 30 years

The selection will be on the basis of Interview. The engagement will be initially for a period of six months, which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the tenure of the sponsored project / satisfactory performance or conduct of the appointee, as the case
may be.

The engagement will be purely on temporary basis for the sponsored projects and does not entitle him / her for the CSIR / IICT post / fellowship.

Eligible candidates may download the application form from our website iictindia.org and appear for Interview along with the duly filled in application form supported by Bio-data and one set of attested photocopies of Certificates of educational qualification, age, experience, caste (in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates), latest passport size photograph and the candidates are required to bring all the original certificates for
verification.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

*Upper age limit relaxable up to 5 years for SC / ST / OBC / PwD / Women.
