The National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) took birth as National Tissue Culture Facility in March 11, 1986 with a mandate of basic research, teaching & training, and as a national repository for cell lines/hybridomas etc. The centre is located in the midst of academically enriched environment of University of Pune campus, Pune.

The interview program for the following temporary project posts tenable at NCCS, Pune.

Post: Junior Research Fellow, Research Associate, Senior Research Fellow

Name of the project & Principal  Investigator: “Molecular Motors  as Nanocircuits in  Leishmaniasis: System cues guiding  Synthetic Biology  Device  Construction” under supervision of  Dr. Shailza Singh,  Scientist ‘D ’

Sr.Nos. 01- Junior Research Fellow (One Post)
Upper Age limit: 28 years
Qualification & Experience: Essential:  M. Sc. or equivalent degree with  minimum of 55% marks in any  branch of life science and having  qualified NET/GATE/LS/BET.
Desirable: Candidate with experience in  M olecular Biology techniques  will be preferred
Monthly Emoluments: Rs.  25,000/- pm + 30%  HRA
Tenure: Three years

Name of the project & Principal  Investigator: “ Molecular  Mechanisms for  Regulat ion of  lonotropic  Glutamate Receptors  by their Auxiliary  Subunits" under  supervision of Dr.  Janesh Kumar ,  Scientist ‘ D ’

Sr.Nos. 02- Junior Research Fellow (One Post)
Upper Age limit: 28 years
Qualification & Experience: Essential:  M. Sc. or equivalent degree with  minimum of 55% marks in any  branch of life science and having  qualified NET/GATE/LS/BET.
Desirable: Candidate should have  proficiency in Gene  cloning,  Mutagenesis, Protein expression,  protein refolding &  pur ification,  F amiliarity with Crystallization &  X - ray structure analysis is  desirable. Previous experience is  desirable
Monthly Emoluments: Rs.  25,000/- pm + 30%  HRA

Upper Age limit: 35 years
Qualification & Experience: Essential:  Ph.D. in any branch of life  science or equivalent degree or  having three years of research  experience after  MVSc/MPharm/ME/MTech.
Desirable: At least 2 years of experience in  cell culture work and handling  of human infectious pathogens  at BSL 3 or plus level.
Monthly Emoluments: Rs.  36,000/- pm + 30%  HRA
Tenure: Six months

Upper Age limit: 35 years
Qualification & Experience: Essential:  M.Sc. or equivalent degree with  minimum of 55% marks in any  branch of life science and at least  two years of post - M.Sc. research  experience.
Desirable:  At least 2 years of experience i n  cell culture work and handling  of human infectious pathogens  at BSL 3 or plus level.

Qualification & Experience: Essential:  M. Sc. or equivalent degree with  minimum of 55% marks in any  branch of life science or  chemistry and at least two years  of post - M.Sc. research  experience. Desirable:  E xperience in  metabolomics,  proteomics, clinical research and  LC - MS, MALDI - MS, GC - MS  analysis. Candidates ready to  travel many places for collecting  clinical samples may be given  preference.

Information Guidelines & Instruction
Interviews will be conducted as per the serial numbers mentioned herein below:-

- Applications in the prescribed format* duly filled in along with attested copies of all relevant certificates showing date of birth, qualifications (SSC onwards), exper ience, details of the exam passed, caste status and other necessary documents should reach to The Director, National Centre For Cell Science, NCCS Complex, Savitribai Phule Pune University Campus, Post: Ganeshkhind, Pune – 411 007, Maharashtra, India on or before 19.10 .2015.
- The A4 size envelope containing the application must be super scribed in bold letters on the top as under: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF PROJECT - ............”.
- Applications received after the due date and / or without the copies of the requi red certificates/documents will not be considered. Incomplete applications will be strictly rejected. Candidates must be filled up latest prescribed application form only which is available on our institute website under career tab.
- Mere fulfilling the min imum prescribed qualifications and experience will not vest any right in a candidate for calling for interview. The Centre reserves the right to call for interview only those candidates who in its opinion are likely to be suitable. However, no any corresp ondence will be entertained in this regard.
- SC/ST/OBC candidates must produce proof of their caste certificate from appropriate authority. In addition, OBC candidates must also produce latest/valid non - creamy layer certificate in the prescribed form for cl aiming the reservation benefits .
- 5% Marks relaxation will be given to SC/ST candidates i.e. minimum of 50 % marks.
- The Director, NCCS reserves the right to enhance / reduce the number of posts and also cancel the recruitment process.
- Candidates should spe cifically note that due to postal delay applications will not be entertained by this institute after due date and no correspondence will be made in this regard.
- Candidates are required to mention the post preference as per their interest and research area in the prescribed application form.
- Fellowship/Emoluments: Emoluments to the research personnel engaged under project will be made in accordance with the DST O.M. No. A.20020/1197 - IFD dated 31.03.2010 DST O.M. No, SR/S9/Z - 09/2012 dated 21.10.2014 or depending on the respective project sanctioned orders issued by funding agency.
- For  RA  Position,  Candidates  who  are  yet  to  be  awarded  the  Ph.D.  degree, if  selected,  will  be  paid Rs. 2 8,000/ - pm + HRA till the award of the degree.
- Candidates  should  mention  title of  the  thesis,  list  of  publications  with  full  references  in  the  application form.
- List of shortlisted candidates called for interview will be published on our institute website on or  after 26/10 /2015.
- Upper age limit will be considered as on closing date of receipt of application. Age relaxation of  5 years in case of SC/ST/Women/PH candidates and 3 years in case of OBC candidates will be  given  as  per  Government  of  India  rules.  Reservation  as  per  Govt.  of  India  norms  will  be  followed.
- No TA will be paid fo r attending the interview.
- Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer of appointment.
- Please bring all the original certificates showing date of birth, qualification, statement of marks  of  the  exam  passed,  degree  certifi cates,  certificate  of  past  experience,  certificate  in  support  of  present employment, salary certificate  & other relevant documents along with a set of attested  copies at the time of interview.
- For any of the above advertised positions, if candidates are no t found suitable, lower positions  will be offered.
- Candidates should report at 8.45 am sharp at  NCCS security main gate on the above mentioned  address and  register  their  names  in  the  register  on  the  respective  interview  date(s). Candidates  reporting after 9.15 am will not be permitted to attend the interview, which may be noted.
