Established in 1973, Kumaun University consists of three campuses at Almora, Nainital and Bhimtal; 3 5 affiliated government colleges; and almost equal number of affiliated self-financed private institutions spread across the Kumaun region. The total area covered by the university thus far is an impressive 160 acres. The beautifully designed colleges blend in perfectly with the surrounding architecture and complete the breath taking scenery. In order to cater the technical, professional and vocational education, another campus of the University is being developed at Bhimtal. Special emphasis is placed by Kumaun University to uphold the motto of excellent teaching and high quality research. In the residential and affiliated campuses, both teaching and research activities are equally important factors that support the curriculum and contribute to the student's learning habits.

Applications are invited for the following posts on the prescribed form, which may be procured from the office of Registrar, Kumaun University, Nainital on payment of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST) by cash or demand draft. The prescribed application form can also be downloaded from University website www.kunainital.ac.in. and a demand draft for Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST) in favour of Finance Officer, Kumaun University, Nainital, payable at Nainital must be enclosed with the duly filled in application form. For delivery by post additional postal charges of Rs. 50/- must be added to the cost of the form i.e.,Rs. 1050/- (Rs. 550/- for SC/ST) to Registrar, Kumaun University, Nainital. The last date of receipt of application form along with required documents is November 14, 2015. Applications received after the last date will not be considered under any circumstances.
The candidates having domicile certificate of Uttarakhand will only be considered under reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) as per Uttarakhand Government Policy. The candidates under reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC( for OBC candidates- Non-Creamy Layer Certificate of not more than 6 months must be enclosed with application form)) will have to submit the category certificate along with the prescribed application form.

• The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill any of/all the vacancies notified above.
• Reservation of positions for women will be as per Uttarakhand Government Policy (Horizontal Reservation). Due to non availability of the women candidates against horizontal reservation vacancy may be filled up by the male candidate of the respective category.
