ICGEB provides a scientific and educational environment of the highest standard and conducts innovative research in life sciences for the benefit of developing countries. The Centre forms an interactive network with Affiliated Centres in ICGEB Member States and is part of the United Nations System.
The post-doctoral fellow will be engaged in translational project focused on oncogene that regulates growth and survival of docetaxel-resistant prostate cancer. The fellow will use a broad range of approaches (genetic, cell biological and in vivo modelling) to understand how prostate cancer resist chemotherapy and metastasize. Qualified candidates should have strong background in one or more following areas: cancer molecular and cell biology and cancer genomics. Experience in animal models (mouse) as well bioinformatics is a plus. This is a 2-years position connected to a recently funded NCI/NIH project.
