Baba Farid University of Health Sciences was established under an Act passed by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in July, 1998. The mission of the University is to create an intellectual, academic and physical environment, conducive to free flow of ideas and exchange of information between various faculties of the University and between this University and other Universities of Health Sciences in the country and abroad,thereby opening a window to the world for the health professionals, health planners, health managers, biomedical and social scientists and educators in health sciences of the country.

Highly motivated and bright candidates are invited to attend a walk in interview lor the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the following research project funded by NMPB, Department of AYUSH, Government of India, under the supervision of Dr. Parveen Bansal, Principal Investigator, Joint Director, University Centre of Excellence in Research, BFUHS, Faridkot, Punjab. The candidates who have already applied foi the post in response to this office advertisement dated 07/05/14 on website are also invited to attend this walk in interview. No separate interview letters shall be sent for the same.
Title of the Research Project: Development and Identification of standard markers for authentic species of Ashtwarga-an integral component of polyli erbal formulations
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry)/ M.Pharmacy/ M.Sc (Biochemistry) or its equivalent from a recognised University/Institute
Desirable Qualification: 2-3 years experience in Extraction, Isolation, Characterization ol markers Compounds from herbal extracts as evidenced by publications in Indexed Journals.
Age Limit: Must not be over 30 years as on June 5, 2014 which is relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ST/PH/OBC candidates.
Salary: Rs. 16000 per month concolidated
General Term and Condition: The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years. The position is coterminous with the project. Original documents of age proof/ certificates/ degree/ mark sheets and other testimonials must be presented at the time of walk in interview. Attested photocopies of these documents will be collected at the time of walk in interview.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk in interview.
