Established on October 1, 1933 as University Department of Chemical Technology (popularly called UDCT) of the University of Bombay (now Mumbai), with the noble intention of advancing India's knowledge reserves in chemical science and technology, the Institute has grown to become a premier (deemed) university devoted to education, training, research and industrial collaboration in chemical engineering, chemical technology, applied chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology and bio-processing. The then UDCT grew in stature over the years and was granted partial autonomy by the University of Mumbai in 1985, which was taken to the next echelon under the concept of autonomy propagated by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Project Title : Studies on comparative elemental analysis in Production of Cultured Meat/ Callus of Rare Plants / Hydroponically Cultivated Herbs

Qualifications : M.Sc./M.Tech. in Biotechnology/Food Biotechnology or any allied discipline (e.g., Biochemistry, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or Biochemical Engineering). Demonstrated hands-on experience or strong conceptual understanding of analytical instrumentation, particularly ICP-MS or ICP-OES. Good understanding of experimental design, data interpretation, and analytical validation techniques.
Additional Desirable Qualifications : Prior research experience involving elemental or trace metal analysis. Exposure to sample preparation and method optimization for biological or chemical matrices. Publications in peer-reviewed journals will be considered an advantage. Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and technical documentation.
Fellowship : Rs. 35,000/month for 2 Years and Rs. 40,000 from 3rd year
Duration of Project : 3 Years
