CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, is a premier Institute working under the aegis of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous body under the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

Eligible, interested and highly motivated candidates are invited for Walk-in Interview for the following project-based positions, purely on a temporary basis, under the CSIR-funded Project No. HCP-0037 entitled “CSIR Floriculture Mission Phase-II”., tenable at CSIR-IIIM Branch Lab, Srinagar /CSIR IIIM Field Station, Pulwama

Post : Senior Project Associate [One Position]

Essential Qualification : Masters in Agronomy, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Plant Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent (And) 3 years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services. (Or) Doctoral Degree in Agronomy, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Plant Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent

Desirable Qualification : Research experience in field experimentation, development and extension of agrotechnologies, germplasm conservation and plant repository management, conduct and evaluation of OFTs and FLDs, agronomic data acquisition, analysis, and compilation of reports.

Upper Age Limit : 40 yrs
Stipend (per month in Rs.) : 42,000/- + 20% HRA*
*HRA will be paid only if Institutional accommodation is not availed/ provided.
Mode of Selection : Selection is to be done on the basis of Interview; however, written examination may be conducted for screening, if required.

General Terms, Conditions & Instructions
1. The engagement will initially be for a period of One Year or until the project duration, whichever is earlier. It may be extended or curtailed depending on the project duration, requirements and the performance/conduct of the incumbent(s).The current the project is upto 31.03.2026.
2. The tenure of engagement shall be co-terminus with the project. However, under no circumstances shall the total tenure exceed six years, including engagement in all CSIR labs. Performance will be reviewed periodically and unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination without any notice or reason.
3. The position(s) are purely temporary and are on behalf of the sponsor and, therefore, not confer any right on the incumbent(s) to any claim, implicit or explicit, for absorption on any post in CSIR-IIIM/CSIR.
4. Candidates will have the option to interact in English/Hindi before the Selection Committee.
5. Relaxation in age limit will be given as per Govt. of India Rules. Age will be reckoned as on the date of the Interview.
6. Upon selection/empanelment, the original documents, including eligibility qualification, DOB, caste, and age relaxation certificate, will be verified; if any discrepancy is found, the selection/empanelment shall stand cancelled.

7. The number of positions may vary depending upon the project requirements at the time of Interview.
8. The Director, CSIR-IIIM reserves the right to not to fill any or all advertised positions.
9. Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification for the positions.
10. Candidates currently engaged in any project at CSIR-IIIM must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) before applying for any new vacancy. Applications/ candidature/ selection of such candidates will only be considered if the NOC has been issued by the office.
11. Interim enquiries will not be entertained.
12. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview
