Banaras Hindu University is an internationally reputed temple of learning, situated in the holy city of Varanasi. This Creative and innovative university was founded by the great nationalist leader, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, in 1916 with cooperation of great personalities like Dr Annie Besant, who viewed it as the University of India. Banaras Hindu University was d under the Parliamentary legislation - B.H.U. Act 1915.

Post : Junior Research Fellow (01 Post) 

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (01 Post) with emoluments of Rs. 37,000/- per month + 20% HRA for first two (02) years and Rs. 42,000/- per month + 20% HRA for third year in a Department of Health Research (DHR)-sponsored project entitled “Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) induced altered metabolic status and implantation failure: Therapeutic regulation via AMPK pathway”, sanctioned for three years. The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Essential Qualifications : Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Zoology, Bioinformatics, or allied areas with at least 55% marks from a recognized university. Additionally, candidates should have qualified NET / GATE. 

Desirable Qualifications : Candidates with experience in relevant areas, particularly in mammalian reproductive physiology/endocrinology and rodent handling, will be given preference. 

Age Limit : The upper age limit is 28 years, with a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per Govt. of India rules.
