Opportunity for M.Pharm to work in DBT funded project at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus

Post : Junior Research Fellow for a DBT Funded Project

Applications from suitable Junior Research Fellow (JRF) candidates are invited to work on the following inter-disciplinary project sponsored by the Dept. of Biotechnology, having grant No.BT/PR48417/MED/32/860/2023, under the supervision of Prof. Srinivasa Prasad, Dept. of Pharmacy, and Co-PI’s Prof. Ramendra K Pal, and Prof. Nirmal J, Depts. of Chemical Engineering and Pharmacy,BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus.

Title of the project : Development and Validation of Sensor-augmented Pump (SAP) for Neurological Disorders
Duration of the project : 18 months
Project position and number : JRF / Research Associate (One position)
Fellowship amount : Rs. 37000 per month (Inclusive of HRA)
Scope of Work : Design and fabricate sensors in the chemical engineering lab, followed by the use of actuators for pumping drugs in pre-selected doses based on algorithms. Generating models of neurological disorders and evaluating the sensitivity and accuracy using surgical techniques. 
Eligibility requirements : 1. M.Pharm (Pharmacology – First class) with hands-on experience in project and GPAT qualification preferredin biomedical devices / pharmacology / chemical engineering / neuroscience can also apply.
2. Experience in surgical techniques/doping/sensors/MEMS/biomedical devices or animal handling would be an added advantage. 
3. Importantly, willingness to learn new techniques coupled withinquisitiveness for concepts and good written and oral English skills are highly desirable

Preliminary shortlisting will be based on a resume and telephonic/audio-visual interview within two weeks of the last date of application. For the final in-person interview, the candidate will be informed through e-mail for an interview. No TA/DA will be provided in case of an in-person interview. Selected candidate may be permitted to register for the Ph.D. program of BITS-Pilani, subject to the fulfillment of the requirements and his/her performance.
