Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), is an Institution of national importance established by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, with regional and global partnerships synergizing with the programmes of UNESCO. Post : Project Assistant
Title of Project : Mitigating Potato leafroll virus (PLRV) incidence through Genetic and Chemical interventions.
Essential Qualifications : M.Sc in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or equivalent (The student having prior experience in organic synthesis, purification, and characterization will be preferred).
Desirable Qualifications : Strong practical and theoretical knowledge in organic synthesis, separation/purification techniques such as distillation, crystallization, extraction, chromatography etc., experience in the operation of equipment to aid in chemical synthesis, purification and interpretation of spectral data obtained for techniques like NMR, MS, IR, and HPLC etc., knowledge to follow safe lab practices and SOPs. Candidate should be hardworking and a team player with interpersonal skills.

Emoluments : Rs. 25,000/- (Consolidated) per month
