National Brain Research Centre is a specialized deemed to be university dedicated to research in the frontier areas of neuroscience and brain function in health and disease. Scientists and students of NBRC come from diverse academic backgrounds and use multidisciplinary approaches to understand the complex processes that form the basis of brain mechanisms. Located over a sprawling campus in the foothills of the Aravali range in Manesar, Haryana, NBRC is an autonomous institute of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
Applications are invited for the position of Principal Project Associate (Project) under the NBRC Flagship project entitled “Comparative Mapping of Common Mental Disorders (CMD) Over Lifespan” funded by DBT and coordinated by Director, National Brain Research Centre, Manesar, Haryana.

Essential Qualification
Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Science or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; .and Eight years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academics Institutions of Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services
OR
Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology / Pharma / MD / MS from recognized University or equivalent and
Four years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academics Institutions of Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services
Desirable Qualification : Master’s degree in Psychology (MPhil psychology may be given preference)
Age limit : Maximum 40 years (as on the last date of receipt of application)
Emoluments : Rs 49,000/- per month + 8% HRA. No other allowances / benefits will be admissible
Duties : Project Associate, recruiting patients to build a mental health cohort with clinicians, behavioral testing, collecting demographic information, curating data, statistics, liaison with other scientists to smoothly run the project.

Mode and duration of appointment : Appointment will be made on contract basis, initially for a period upto 28th September 2022. Continuation of appointment will depend upon satisfactory performance during the appointment period and validity of the project. The post is co-terminus with the project.

1. No TA/DA will be payable to the candidates for attending the interview
