The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is an autonomous body of the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy), Government of India. It is an apex body in India for the formulation, coordination, development and promotion of research on scientific lines in Ayurveda and Sowa-Rigpa system of medicine.
This Institute intends to engage services of the following post on contractual and co-terminus basis for IMR project Pharmacognostical evaluation of medicinal plants cited in Ayurvedic Formulary of India excluding the plants mentioned in Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India-Part-U” for a period of Initially for 6 (six) months which is likely to be extended till the tenure of the project.

Qualification, experience
I. Essential : Post-graduate Degree (M.Pharm.) Pharmacognosy / M. Pharm.(Ay.) / M.Sc. (Medicinal plant) or Masters in Botany from a recognized University/ Institution.
Desirable : a. Sound knowledge of drug development, Pharmacognostical techniques, drug standardization and analytical techniques with at-least one-year research experience in the field of medicinal plants.
b. Skills of drafting, editing of scientific documents/ articles /technical reports etc.,
c. Publications in peer reviewed journals.
d. Working knowledge of computer applications.
Monthly remuneration : Rs.31,000/- p.m + HRA(24%)
Age limit : 35 years as on 01.11.2021
Interested candidates fulfilling the above criteria should apply in the prescribed proforma along with self-attested copy of certificates in support of age and qualification and two passport size recent photographs. The candidates are required to appear for written test/interview at the above mentioned address. The candidates are attending for interview will be required to carry their original testimonials for verification. The candidates interested candidates must reach the venue (Central Ayurveda Research, Kolkata, 4-CN Block Sector—V Bidhannagar, Kolkata - 700091) at 10.00 am for registration and beyond that, no candidate will be allowed for written test/Interview.

NOTE:
1. The engagement would be purely on contractual basis and co-terminus with the projects and no claim for continuance of regular appointment will be entertained.
2. The eligibility of candidates in respect of age will be determined as on 01. 11.2021. for relaxation of age SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt, of India Rules.
3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/interview.
4. Candidates already working should produce “No Objection Certificate” in case he / she is employed elsewhere.
