Job Description:
Design and carry out research in the areas of drug-induced liver injury, acute liver failure and the neurological complications that arise. Compile and analyze data using appropriate methods and software.
Responsibilities
• Initiate, plan, execute and evaluate experiments to achieve specific objectives in research projects.
• Compile and analyze data, including statistical analyses for assessment of relevance and significance.
• Read and write manuscripts/review articles, compile figures and tables using the data obtained for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
• Present research data and findings in public and private forums (seminars/laboratory meetings).
Candidate Profile
Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, Molecular Toxicology, or related field received within the last three-years. Research background in either hepatology or neurosciences. Experience with tissue culture, cell and molecular biology techniques, and histology/histochemistry. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Experience with cell signaling pathways, microRNA regulation of gene expression, or inflammation.
Salary Range : $50,000+ depending on qualifications
