Post : Associate Dean (Pharmacy)

NMIMS is looking for a visionary leader and scholar to lead the Shobhaben Pratapbhai Patel School Of Pharmacy & Technology Management at our Mumbai Campus by providing excellent teaching and research guidance to students and faculty members. He/ She should possess excellent leadership and organisational skills, have the ability to multi-task, willing to collaborate and be part of a team with great social and interpersonal skills.

The person shall be overall responsible for the growth of unique & innovative integrated programmes, quality improvement, periodical reviews, placement and industry collaboration. He/she is required to provide guidance in planning, coordination and implementation of academic programmes as per the UGC rules and regulations and other statutory bodies like PCI from time to time. He/She will lead a portfolio of long & short duration programmes in Pharmacy in close coordination with the Deans of the Schools. He/She will work to attract well-known professionals & academics in this field to the institution.

Qualification & Experience:
Ph.D in Pharmacy /Pharma Tech Management/Management related areas from reputed universities/institutes, with 10 to 12 years of experience in teaching/research and First Class Master’s degree & Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy with minimum 15 years of teaching experience and good quality research and publications. If from Academic field he/she should have 10-15 years of experience in teaching in PCI approved/recognised pharmacy college with other Administrative Leadership role.
OR
A person having experience in industry/corporate organizations for at least a period of 15 years at the level of General Manager or Sr. Management & above in one of the Publicly listed companies with minimum Post Graduate Degree in Pharmacy/Technology/Management Studies may be considered. Such candidates should also have strong research/publication background indicating academic bent of mind. Ph.D. Degree is desirable. Applicants with experience in Project Management, R&D Management, Product Development, Pharma Management, etc. will be given preference.

Age Limit: 50-58 years

Desirable :
Teaching, industrial research and / or professional experience in a reputed organization;
iii. Published work, such as research papers, patents filed / obtained, books, and / or technical reports;
iv. Experience of guiding the project work, dissertation of post graduate or research students or supervising R & D projects in industry;
v. Demonstrated leadership in planning and organizing academic, research, industrial and / or professional activities; and
vi. Capacity to undertake / lead sponsored R & D, consultancy and related activities.
