Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), an autonomous research institute supported by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, and International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), USA are seeking a Program Director for their new joint collaborative program to accelerate and advance HIV vaccine research and development. The program shall be an integral part of the THSTI’s research activities and will be closely linked to global network of R&D facilities, including IAVIs Neutralizing Antibody Consortium (NAC) and IAVI Design and Development lab, situated in Brooklyn, New York.

Project: Integrating multiple proteomics database search algorithms in an unified framework for the time efficient large scale analysis
PI : Dr. Amit Kumar Yadav
Age limit : 35 years
Minimum Qualification and experience : Ph.D in Biological Sciences or associate fields OR M.E./ M.Tech in Bioinformatics/ Computer Science or related field with 3 years of research experience with at least on research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Desirable Qualification/ Experience : The thesis (for PhDs) / major theme of work (for others) should be in bioinformatics- with knowledge of Statistics, Computational science and programming. Should have at least one publication from PhD work. The candidate should have programming ability in Perl/R/Python/Java or any other scripting language. Experience in high throughput data analysis in any omics discipline. Good communication skills for scientific writing and presentation is a must. Publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals will be preferred. Candidates with software development experience, and with knowledge about web servers and tools for proteomics research will be preferred.
Monthly Emoluments : Rs.36,000/- + HRA
