Dr. Reddy’s Institute of Life Sciences (DRILS) is a not for profit Research Institute with a mission to be the preferred research partner to the pharma and life sciences industry. Post : Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited for the Junior Research Fellow position to work on DBT funded research project “A Microneedle Transdermal Patch for Supplementing Critical Micronutrients for Prevention and Control of Anemia”.

Fellowship: Rs. 38,440 /month (31,000/month + HRA@24%)

Duration: The duration of the fellowship is for three years. However, the performance of the candidate will be reviewed after the completion of every year and the fellowship will be renewed only upon satisfactory performance.

Eligibility*:
M.Sc. in Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry/ Polymers Chemistry/ Biotechnology or M. Tech. Chemistry/ Chemical Technology / Nanotechnology/ Biotechnology with NET/ Lectureship qualification under:
i) JRF and
ii) Lectureship (NET) categories;
iii) Persons who have qualified in the GATE test;
iv) OR minimum 2 years of experience and 1 publication.

Candidate should demonstrate consistent academic record of minimum 70% aggregate in all qualifying examinations. The candidate should be motivated and committed, and should be interested to work on the interface of the Basic Sciences and to learn new techniques.

*Eligible candidates will have an opportunity to register for Ph.D.

Responsibilities:
1) Literature search.
2) Design, plan and execute experiments under the supervision of the scientist.
3) Provide scientific support to the scientist in his research activities.
4) Book keeping and maintenance of stocks and consumables.

Scope of experimental work:
• Nanoparticles preparation, surface modification and analysis;
• Microneedles preparation;
• Synthesis of the bioconjugates and analysis;
• Preparation samples for TEN/SEM/AFM analysis, etc.;
• Recording of UV-vis and fluorescent spectra.
