Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, popularly known as CIMAP, is a frontier plant research laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Established originally as Central Indian Medicinal Plants Organisation (CIMPO) in 1959, CIMAP is steering multidisciplinary high quality research in biological and chemical sciences and extending technologies and services to the farmers and entrepreneurs of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) with its research headquarter at Lucknow and Research Centres at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pantnagar and Purara. CIMAP Research Centres are aptly situated in different agro-climatic zones of the country to facilitate multi-location field trials and research. A little more than 50 years since its inception, today, CIMAP has extended its wings overseas with scientific collaboration agreements with Malaysia.
Eligible and interested candidates may attend the Interview for engagement on purely temporary basis as Project Assistants (Level-II) under Aroma Mission Project tenable at CSIR-CIMAP Research Centre, Bengaluru.
Project Assistant (Level-II) – One
Qualification : M.Sc. (Ag.) with First Class in Genetics & Plant Breeding or M.Sc. with First Class in Horticulture specialization in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants.
Maximum Age Limit : 30 Years
Stipend per month : Rs.25, 000/- + HRA (30%)
Project Assistant (Level-II) – One
Qualification : M.Sc. with First Class in Microbiology (Knowledge on biochemical assay and experience in product development is desirable).
Maximum Age Limit : 30 Years
Stipend per month : Rs.25, 000/- + HRA (30%)
Project Assistant (Level-II) – One
Qualification : M.Sc. (Ag.) with First Class in Agronomy/Extension/Soil Science (Experience in MAPs is preferred).
Maximum Age Limit : 30 Years
Stipend per month : Rs.25, 000/- + HRA (30%)
Project Assistant (Level-II) – One
Qualification : M.Sc./M.Tech. with First Class in Botany/Biotechnology.
Maximum Age Limit : 30 Years
Stipend per month : Rs.25, 000/- + HRA (30%)

Terms & Conditions:
1) The upper age limit will be as on Date of Interview which is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Persons with disabilities and 3 years for OBC candidates.
2) Special age relaxation in case of widows, Divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands, who are not remarried as per rules. 3) The position will be co-terminus with the Network, Grant-in aid projects and other projects against which the stipend is offered to the candidates and are non-transferable to another Project. If the number of candidates is large, a written test may be conducted to shortlist the candidates for interview.

• Candidates who come late will not be entertained. Interested candidates may appear before the Committee on 17th November 2017 at 10:00 AM at CSIR-CIMAP, Research Centre, Bengaluru along with their signed Bio-Data with original and attested copies of mark sheets/certificates and a recent passport size photograph.
No TA will be admissible.
