The Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine (inStem), is a state-of-the-art research institute in Bangalore, India, dedicated to the study of stem cell and regenerative biology. An autonomous institute funded by the Dept of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, inStem emphasizes collaborative research in stem cell biology. inStem’s mandate to allow this cross-disciplinary, multi-pronged approach to research, straddles the divide between clinical and laboratory research in stem cell biology. In trying to answer intractable and challenging questions that face the field, inStem seeks to rewrite the paradigm of the research institute: without barriers and across disciplines.

Post : Cohort Monitoring and Management of the clinical component of the ADBS

Proposals are invited for Cohort Monitoring and Management of the clinical component of the "Accelerator Program for Discovery in Brain Disorders using Stem Cells", situated at NIMHANS Bangalore (ncbs.res.in/adbs/research#nimhans). ADBS is a multi-institutional, Department of Biotechnology (DBT) funded program based at inStem, NCBS and NIMHANS. The Centre for iPS cell Research and Application (CiRA), Kyoto, Japan is an international partner in the program.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The selected agency will be responsible for ensuring Quality Management & Monitoring of the clinical component of the programme, which should include but is not limited to the following:

  1. Study of start-up support and on-site monitoring through a site assessment / preparedness
  2. Oversee sample & data collection and dataintegrity
  3. Interim cohort monitoring and reporting,
  4. Compliance with SOPs and other applicable guidelines.
  5. Monitoring of the investigational site (NIMHANS, Bangalore)
  6. Tracking project progress.
  7. Adequate recording and reporting of clinical and lab data
  8. Resolving queries and other challenges and bring to the notice of coordinating investigator (inStem) /funding agency (DBT) of any major deviation/ finding.

 

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
Management and oversight of large longitudinal cohort studies as this study is not a clinical trial.
Proven track record of the agencies in handling cohort studies in government funded projects.
