Dagshai Cantonment is situated on top of a 5689 feet (1734 mtr) high hillock that stands sphinx-like astride the Kalka-Shimla Highway at a point about 11 km from Solan. Dagshai Cantonment was Founded in 1847 by securing free of cost five villages from Maharaja of Patiala. There is no authenticated record available, regarding the origin of its name. According to one legend the name was derived from the Urdu phrase "DAAG-E-SHAHI", which connote the Royal Brand/Stamp. The prisoners were branded during the Moghul times sent to Dagshai Villages.

2. Bachelor's degree/ diploma in pharmacy or its equivalent from a recognized university or an institution duly recognized by the central/state government.
3. Must be registered with the pharmacy council of the concerned state/central government.
Last date for receipt of application on 01/12/2014 upto 5.00 PM and 15/12/2014 from candidates of remote areas as defined by the Govt. of india. Scrutiny of application and display of list eligible/ineligible candidates will be carried out on 25/12/2014. Eligible candidates may appear for test and interview/ Skill test etc. as per following schedule.
